Mankind
was not the first to explore the Fatherland, but it is said that "he"
emerged. While others contend that he appeared, whether from a garden
or another planet. None-the-less we found our way from the darkness in
order to evolve. The Earth, Motherland to all kinds, has nurtured us and
the Fatherland has fed and clothed us. At the same time it has instilled
in all things awe and fear. The Motherland holds us - mankind - dearly
to her breast to calm and soothe us, and to lend comfort to our fears.
Together, the Fatherland/Motherland gives mankind their most passionate
love, as if they were immortal.
